Hurling Street league season is well and truly on us at Cobh Gaa 2015-10-05 21:30:00

Hurling Street league season is well and truly on us at Cobh Gaa.

Sunday the 27th saw week 3 of the U9, U7 and U5 leagues. With over 200 boys and girls taking part, Pairc Ui Chonaill is a hive of activity each Sunday morning, the U9s playing at 11:30am and the U7s & U5s going into action at 10:30am. A big thank you to all coaches for helping out with the teams and especially our U16 and minor hurlers and camogs for their help with refereeing and coaching.

The U12 leagues kicked off on Friday 25th with 120 boys and girls playing in the matches. In a new initiative for the Friday night leagues all teams this year are being managed by u16 & U18 players from the Camogie and Gaa clubs with no adults involved in the running of the teams.

After week1 this seems to have been a big hit with the players. The leagues continue up to the school mid-term with details available on the Cobh Gaa website.
