The first match of the new season saw the Cobh lads lose out to a visiting Midleton side who were sharper & more mobile on the day. Cobh started well and held their own for periods of the game but with 3 goals for the visitors coming from Cobh handling errors, the deficit proved tough to claw back by the time the whistle blew. Good effort by the lads despite heavy going under foot on a pitch that is only reduced in lengh to between both 20m lines.
